Just as quickly as Texas rose in last week’s college football rankings, it fell.

After No. 15 Texas’ 40-21 loss to unranked Arkansas, the Longhorns dropped out of the top 25 in both Sunday’s AP Top 25 poll and USA Today’s coaches poll.

Meanwhile, the Longhorns’ SEC-bound rival Oklahoma, which beat Western Carolina 76-0 on Saturday, rose one spot to No. 3.

Texas A&M survived an upset scare from Colorado, winning 10-7 Saturday after losing starting quarterback Haynes King to injury. However, the Aggies dropped two spots to No. 7 in the rankings.
